Dirk serves as an Advisor and Managing Partner of Bioqube Factory Fund I. He brings over 35 years of leadership experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech sector, combining commercial, business development, operational, and entrepreneurial expertise.

He spent the first half of his career at Eli Lilly and Janssen-Cilag (Johnson & Johnson), leading international product launches and serving as VP for New Business Development in Europe. In 2006, he co-founded Movetis NV, a Johnson & Johnson GI spin-off, and as a CEO raised over €200M, took the company public, and oversaw its acquisition by Shire. He later founded Progress Pharma and supported the growth of ventures including Lipid Therapeutics (Germany), eTheRNA, and Spectricity as founder/CEO.

Dirk was Chairman of Flanders.bio, the Flemish biotech association representing 300+ companies for the last 6 years and guided the merger with Medvia to form BioVia.
