Brussels, Belgium – September 2026 – Bioqube Ventures today announces that Bonnie van Wilgenburg, Ph.D., has joined as Venture Partner.

Bonnie will initially lead the development of a new portfolio company currently operating in stealth mode. In parallel, she will support the investment team in sourcing and evaluating new opportunities across Europe and the US, drawing on her global scientific, entrepreneurial and investor network.

Her background is particularly well aligned with Bioqube’s investment model, combining company building with growth investing. Bonnie brings nine years of venture capital experience across the full investment cycle, from company creation and early-stage investing to later-stage financings and strategic exits.

Prior to Bioqube, Bonnie was a Principal at Monograph Capital, which she joined at its founding. At Monograph she invested in MiroBio (an immunology company), and Autobahn Therapeutics (a clinical stage neuropsychiatry company), where she served on the Board and Audit Committee. She also helped build Ollin Biosciences (a clinical stage ophthalmology company).

Before Monograph, Bonnie spent four years at Forbion, where she was involved in a range of biopharma investments across multiple therapeutic areas.

Bonnie is a Ph.D. immunologist trained at Oxford University and has authored 18 peer-reviewed scientific publications.

“Bonnie’s experience fits extremely well with the DNA of Bioqube,” said Nico Vandervelpen, Co-founder and Managing Partner of Bioqube. “She combines deep scientific insight with hands-on company building and strong investment judgement. Her track record spans the full spectrum of what we do, from creating companies to identifying and backing clinical stage opportunities such as Autobahn.”

“Bonnie will initially take the lead on one of our new ventures, while also helping us source new opportunities internationally. We see this as the beginning of a broader role within Bioqube.”

“Bioqube’s combination of company creation and growth investing strongly resonates with how I like to work,” said Bonnie van Wilgenburg, Venture Partner at Bioqube. “I’m excited to work alongside the Bioqube team to back exceptional people and compelling opportunities across Europe and the US, while building companies with the potential to make a meaningful difference for patients.”
