Joris joined Bioqube Ventures in 2016 as Investment Director and later became an Entrepreneur in Residence. He provides strategic advice to the investment team and portfolio companies, drawing on over 20 years of experience in pharma and biotech. He has served as CEO/CSO of Facio Therapeutics and held senior R&D roles at Johnson & Johnson, Movetis, and Shire.
Within Bioqube’s portfolio, he also takes on executive roles, contributing directly to company building and development.
Joris has shaped and advanced multiple innovative R&D programs, with extensive experience creating and growing early-stage companies.
He holds a PhD in Medical Sciences from Ghent University and an MSc in Bioengineering from KU Leuven, with additional training at the University of Pretoria, South Africa.
Outside work, Joris enjoys cooking, jazz guitar, and soccer.
